At The Finer Things we share a passion for great design. We believe in a personal approach to creating unique spaces that we hope promotes customized living environments for our clients.

Vicki graduated from Sheridan College Institute of Technology in Oakville, ON. with a Graphic Design Diploma and worked in the fields of package design and corporate presentations. Along the way completing several special interest courses in:

Custom Picture Framing - Canadian Picture Framing School
Advanced Calligraphy –Humber College
Classical Decorative Arts Program- Ritins School of Decorative Arts
Furniture Styles and History-Sheridan College

Vicki followed her interests in design, art and gardening. Over the years gaining experience managing an art gallery which included:
custom framing and consulting with clients on art rental and buying. Also, several years experience working as a gardener and greenscape designer for a large landscape company.

Finally, deciding to open her own home and garden décor store and consulting service. The Finer Things has evolved into a full service Interior/Exterior Design and Renovation company
with the addition of Michael Williams.

After working for a large corporation for 30 years and honing his skills on weekends and holidays for the past 15 years, Michael quit his ‘day’ job to the delight of clients, friends and family to devote himself
full-time to renovating.

Michael’s sense of style and keen attention to detail is evident in everything he does, whether he is renovating a basement, adding architectural detailing to a room or creating one of a kind accessory pieces.

Michael and Vicki strive to stay current and informed of new products and methods to pass on to their clients and have been focusing recently on environmentally sensitive ways of retrofitting these
new products to existing construction.

The Finer Things has developed a fantastic team of trades people and artisans who are as dedicated as we are to listening to our clients and delivering a truly one-of–a-kind product.
